At one point, I hated the moon. Its brightness washes out the stars, making my style of photography very difficult, if not impossible. So, what could I do? Either avoid going out at night or learn to adapt. I chose to adapt, and in doing so, I discovered many new and often bizarre techniques. Now, I've come to love photographing the moon.
However, I don't just take pictures of it. Let's be honest—it's looked the same since the beginning of time. I have hundreds of pictures of the moon by itself, and to be honest, they often feel boring. I need something in the foreground to create a narrative. If my picture doesn’t tell a story, I won’t take the shot.
